Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor. She was born in June 9, 1985. Sonam worked as an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film Black. She dubted as an actress in Bollywood with the film Saawariya.

Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor and niece of producer Boney Kapoor, actor Sanjay Kapoor and Sandeep Marwah. She is the eldest of three children; the others are sister Rhea and brother Harshvardhan. Sonam Kapoor is the winner of Stardust Superstar of Tomorrow for the year 2008 for her performance in Saawariya.

Sonam’s next film was Dilli 6(2009) which was also a flop. However her performance was highly praised. In 2010, she appeared in Punit Malhotra’s I Hate Luv Storys opposite Imran Khan. The film went on to become her first box office success.
