Sonam Kapoor finds her boyfriend, Punit Malhotra, to be a too ‘goody boy’ and has been telling her friends this.

Sonam apparently finds Punit to be completely opposite to her and that, her friends say, is what is working for them. Punit is a mush-ball and is super caring.

Delhi-6 is a Bollywood film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, and Divya Dutta. The movie is reportedly based on Mehra’s growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The film will be Mehra’s third directorial venture after critically acclaimed Aks and the immensely successful Rang De Basanti.

The movie is set to release on February 20, 2009. The movie will premier in New Delhi on February 19,2009. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has gone on record to state that Abhishek Bachchan was always the first choice for Delhi-6. Date problems for Abhishek Bachchan delayed the film, but it all worked out in the end with Abhishek portraying the lead actor in the film which was the plan from day one. Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Anil Kapoor, who made her debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, reportedly confirmed taking part in the movie and is paired with Abhishek Bachchan.

The vivacious actress walked the ramp in pristine white, for the Levi’s collection by Tarun Tahiliani on the day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week.

Whereas, day 3 was a dedication to guys! Digvijay Singh attributed contemporary and chic look for boys. Sundry men’s wear by Dev R NIL was also highly applauded.

Sonam Kapoor Walks The Ramp For Tarun Tahiliani

Saawariya” girl Sonam Kapoor walked the ramp for designer Tarun Tahiliani’s Levis collection at the spring-summer edition of the five-day Lakme Fashion Week.

“I have designed some exclusive collections for Levis and it will be a great experience to have Sonam walking the ramp for us,” Tahilani said.

Sonam will also be signed by Levis as its brand ambassador at the fashion event.

About 75 designers from across the country displaying their collections at the event in three categories: established, generation next and emerging.

The grand finale Friday will feature renowned designer’s Sabyasachi Mukherjee wedding collection.

At last the unexpected is happening in Bollywood. Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are becoming real friends in life.

The two were pitted against each other as arch rivals professionally (Deepika’s debut film Om Shanti Om and Sonam’s debut Saawariya released on the same day – November 9, 2007) as well as personally (Ranbir and Sonam were a couple before Ranbir started seeing Deepika). But the buzz is that the two actresses have become good friends. This happened after Deepika broke the ice and went out of her way to extend her hand of friendship to Sonam.

A source close to the actress said, “Deepika is down-to-earth and friendly by nature. This so-called wall between the two was eating into her. So she decided to initiate a friendship by giving Sonam a gift during Diwali. Sonam was pleasantly surprised at Deepika’s sweet gesture and thanked her profusely. That broke the supposed cold vibes between the two. With the guard let down from both the sides, the actresses spoke their heart out to each other and put aside their differences. At the end of their conversation, they both realised that there was no animosity from both the ends and decided to be friends. Since then Deepika and Sonam have remained good friends. Besides meeting regularly, the actresses enjoy their girlie talk over calls and smses and even hang out. Recently they even went to watch Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, albeit in a group which also had Ranbir.”

Gone are the days when Sonam and Ranbir would avoid bumping into each other at filmi dos and common friends parties. The source added, “Things have changed today. If Ranbir and Sonam share a cordial relationship today it is thanks to Deepika.”
